The Gran Teatro de La Habana, or Great Theater of Havana is the former Centro Gallego. Designed by the Belgian architect Paul Belau and the U.S. firm of Purdy and Henderson, Engineers, was paid for by the Galician immigrants of Havana to serve as a their community- social center. Located in the Paseo del Prado, the theater has been home to the Cuban National Ballet and to the International Ballet Festival of Havana.

    La Vigia is a property that belonged to the writer Ernest Hemingway and is located on the Vigia Hill in San Francisco de Paula, 15 km from the city center. Besides being a small ecological reserve with more than 500 species of plants and a great variety of birds, it has numerous objects and furniture that belonged to the writer while he lived on the island and that remain intact. Marina Hemingway can be another place to visit, that is the Cuba's largest marina with an official capacity of up to 400 vessels in which is held the Hemingway International Billfishing Tournament.
